We absolutely loved staying at Villa Clara. The rooms are all a good size and having two kitchens was fabulous as it was getting a bit cool while we were in Italy. The grounds are amazing and Luigi the owner was always on site in the mornings cleaning the pool and maintaining the property. Three of us spoke Italian and he was more than happy to chat and talk about the property, us, him and life in general. He couldn't have made us more welcome if he tried. Filippo, the House Manager was on site to gain access and went out of his way to help us as we arrived a bit early. He also gave us a lot of information on where to go, what to do and where to shop. While a lot of information is provided in the V/C app, but it was nice to actually speak with a local. Depending on traffic, it was a 20 minute drive to Lucca, just on an hour to Florence and just a bit more to San Gimignano so the location of the Villa is perfect. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Tuscany and we would definitely return.

The grounds are immaculate and attention has been paid to every leaf, bud and stem. A pool to cool off in, outside dinning with all the amenities including fridge and oven. Inside the house meets every expectation with beautiful and comfortable furniture along with gracious materials. In an ideal, rustic setting of sorts keeps you feeling private and safe. Easy to explore the countryside, we made many day trips while knowing we were coming home the estate.

Misschien is 1 bed toe aan vervanging en wij Nederlanders hadden graag een nespresso koffiemachine gehad maar nogmaals dit deed niets af aan onze vakantie.

This was hands down the best Airbnb experience I have ever had. From the attention to detail to the warm welcome from Luigi & Filippo! Upon our arrival we were greeted with a fruit basket with some items from Luigi’s garden! Luigi came by and tended to the garden, olive trees and the pool and it was a true treat to have him stop by. The Villa is breathtaking and pictures don’t do it justice. You awake to breathtaking views & birds chirping outside! Every room is warm and cozy with AC/Heat & it was an amazing stay for the 8 people that we had. One night we had a chef that was recommended to us come to the Villa and cook us a 4 course meal using the outdoor kitchen/dining area which was the cherry on top of our trip! All in all I highly recommend staying here, I truly don’t have enough good things to say about this place. Ciao!

We were so fortunate to spend 6 weeks at Villa Clara in June /July 2023 .The villa is exceptional ,we particularly enjoyed the outside kitchen and the fabulous pool.There are 2 reasonably priced restaurants and a bar within walking distance , and the bus stop for buses to Lucca and Pontedera . Luigi and his team were so helpful and did everything they could to ensure we had a wonderful stay. We can’t recommend this villa enough .

The tall windows also gave lovely views of the grounds and countryside. Outside, the gardens were immaculately kept and very pretty. We spent most of our time by the pool and in the amazing outdoor kitchen. Snack, drink, swim, repeat. I would also mention the warm welcome from Luigi, who ensured we had a great time at Villa Clara.

The villa was very impressive and exactly how the pictures looked. Luigi and Mariapia were vey helpful upon check in and check out and very accommodating. We have travelled to many villas recently throughout Europe and this was our favourite thus far, a great outdoor space.

This is a beautiful Villa with enough space to comfortably accommodate 8-10 persons. True highlight was the outdoor kitchen with roof and it fast became a place where we spent most of the time.
Nearby is the comfortable Lounge which invites for an evening drink. All rooms had air conditioning and were nicely furnished. Also the outdoor and pool area is presented in a beautiful and well maintained way. The owner Luigi is a friendly and a pleasant host who is taking care for the needs of his guests. He daily cleaned the pool and took care of garbage, without disturbing us. As well Villa was fully cleaned once per week. Luigi supported us with all questions we had and was ensuring truly personal approach. We can recommend to ask him for the delicious homemade olive oil. Overall we spent a perfect time here without any negative impressions and truly looking to come back! |

We were concerned in the beginning that with the staged on-line photos that it may not look like that in reality but that definitely was not the case. The villa was beautiful, very clean, comfortable and very stylishly decorated. It did not disappoint. The welcome committee, Maria, Micah and the villa owner Luigi were very gracious, very helpful and made us feel most welcome. Luigi came each morning (very early) to check on the pool, clean up blossoms that had fallen from the numerous flowers in the garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the villa and would definitely recommend this villa to anyone who is looking for a comfortable, central location in Tuscany. We will plan a return trip as one week in Tuscany is not enough and will definitely return to this villa if it is available. Thankyou Maria, Micah and Luigi for making us most welcome and for all of your advice.

This was a gorgeous house but the outdoor dining area and pool made our stay! The house was very clean and the details like the tile floors and frescos on the ceiling were absolutely beautiful. The outdoor dining area was amazing for a large group and we spent 90% of our time outside. Although the location is about 20 minutes from downtown Lucca it was great to be in the countryside and there was a great market 8 minutes away. Our only complaint was that the pillows were very flat and hard which made sleeping uncomfortable. This seems to be common in Italy however! Out entire group loved their stay and we would definitely do it again.

All amenities are high quality and the place itself is very well maintained. Indoor and outdoor spaces are both beautiful and comfortable. We absolutely enjoyed the additional outdoor kitchen by the pool (overlooking a castle). This place can comfortably fit 10 adults. Also just to add: the check-in and check out process were smooth as well and the owner recommended a great chef for a dinner hosted at the house. I highly recommend this house!!!
