Villa Drago fa parte della Tenuta Fonte del Sasso -oggi di proprietà di un famoso enologo e viticoltore locale- che consiste in diverse migliaia di ettari di boschi e campagne immacolate.
La Villa è stata realizzata e restaurata con cura e un tempo utilizzata come casa di famiglia all'interno della tenuta. Ora è dotato di piscina privata e giardino con vista sui boschi immacolati tutt'intorno. La villa dispone di ampi spazi esterni, perfetti per rilassarsi dopo una lunga giornata di visite turistiche. Un ampio portico/veranda con zona pranzo ha una vista dominante sul paesaggio, così come la piscina. Attrezzature per bambini come culla e seggiolone accolgono anche i visitatori più piccoli.
Nascosta tra le dolci colline fuori dal borgo di Orentano, la casa con quattro camere da letto ha una posizione privilegiata vicino a Lucca, Pisa, San Miniato, San Gimignano, Firenze, Siena, Cinque Terre, Montecatini, Pistoia e Volterra, tutte tra i 15 e i 60 minuti di auto, mentre 25 minuti di auto ti portano all'aeroporto di Pisa. Un bar, alcuni ristoranti, un negozio di alimentari e due pizzerie si trovano nella frazione di Orentano, a pochi passi dalla villa (2,5 km) mentre il capoluogo di Altopascio con un gran numero di negozi, ristoranti, supermercati, generi alimentari, panifici con il famoso "pane di Altopascio" locale prodotto lì fin dal 1100, bar, pizzerie, gelaterie ecc. Sono disponibili in meno di 10 minuti di auto dalla Villa.
Questa regione della Toscana offre innumerevoli opportunità per vivere la lunga e diversificata storia locale, a partire da Lucca, con l'anfiteatro meglio conservato del mondo romano, a Pisa, San Miniato e Montecatini Terme, il tutto tra i 20 e i 30 minuti scacciare. Firenze, San Gimignano e le Cinque Terre, cinque villaggi simili a miraggi costruiti su una serie di coste, costituiscono anche un favoloso sito storico da visitare durante il vostro soggiorno, sono tutti a circa 1 ora di auto. We felt the house was a bit isolated, a little too far to walk into Orentano. Road in was a bit rough but no problem for SUV’s etc. However, with that said, the house was in a beautiful serene setting with a nice firefly display at night! We thoroughly enjoyed!

Filippo the host was very helpful and showed us the house. He also provided a very nice guide of restaurantsand places to visit around. It is very near Lucca, Pisa, Florencia, St Gimignano, Siena, Bologna, max 1hr30 away. We had cooking lessons with Stefania and my kids. She prepared a very tasty aperitif before starting the lesson and brought a lot of ingredients from local places. We learned how to cook 3 different pastas with different methods as the “nonnas” did and the sauces were amazing. The house is very well equipped and is surrounded by nature. We really had a great week with my family. I recommend this house and I would love to come back.Thank you Stefania, Saverio and Drago 🫶🏼 |

We loved our 7-night stay in this stunning large country house in a woodland setting. The house is beautifully furnished with antique furniture, artwork and plants in a way that celebrates the charm of the home. The large kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and we enjoyed bringing Tuscan delights back to the house to make meals together. The grounds are lovely and the bravest amongst us enjoyed a dip in the pool in April!
All the bedrooms were comfortable and we all slept very peacefully in this quiet, rural setting. The location is great. There are walks through the woodlands directly from the property. There's a small village a short drive away with cafe and restaurant and then a town about 10-15 minutes away that has everything you need. We really loved how easy it was to make day trips to Lucca, Cinque Terre and small hilltop towns. The host was very responsive and really wanted to make sure we had a good stay. Highly recommended. |

We hired a private chef for two nights (through Arianna and Friends) and they were excellent. I would highly recommend them. We rented the villa with our son, daughter-in-law and their two small children. THey enjoyed the stay as well. The pool was a nice bonus.

The house is amazing and it’s extremely private. We really enjoyed ourselves for 5 days, mixing day trips to nearby towns (Lucca was great!) and beaches with days by the pool in the garden. Perfect for us - 6 adults of 70-35 years and three kids of 1-5 years. The owner, Severio, turned up quite late at night and stayed at his apartment in another end of the house for one night, I assume just to check out who we were. Didn’t disturb us - he was really nice, told us about the house and it’s surroundings and welcomed us with a bottle of wine. All in all a very pleasant stay that perfectly matched our expectations, a lot thanks to the host’s thorough and correct descriptions of the house. The host’s representative, Filippo, was great.

Super séjour dans cette maison au milieu des champs et de la campagne toscane !
Filippo nous a accordé un super accueil ! Nous avons eu un peu de mal à trouver la villa dans la nuit - le chemin est assez difficile d’accès (difficile avec une citadine, nous avions un SUV donc cela allait) Sur place, cuisine et équipement très corrects, belles prestations, jardin impeccable et piscine très sympathique ! Quelques jeux de société dans la maison seraient un vrai plus ! |
