VILLA HILARY is a portion of a traditional building, surrounded by centuries-old olive groves and oakwoods, this farmhouse still has the remnants of a farm life gone by, but modern furnishings breathe new life into its traditional beamed ceiling rooms.
Step through French doors from your private gardens into the long open-concept great room at this vacation rental, whose stone floors and cotto ceilings come to life in the sunshine. There are two private gardens on both sides of the rental unit featuring a living area furnished with outdoor sofas and armchairs orned by fluffy cushions on one side overlooking the valley and a dining area and private sun loungers on the other side facing the pool. More private sun-loungers are available for your exclusive use at the swimming pool, shared with the occupants of the other portions of farmhouse.
This luxury property has 4 bedrooms with double beds. The two bedrooms on the upper floor are linked to each other and there is no door which makes it ideal for families who wants to keep an eye on young children. We loved everything from the communication and pre check in support. Maria Pia was very helpful and even brought my sisters leftover food from her villa to our villa as she left on the day we arrived ! The villa was spotless and had everything you csee more

I do think however the photos make it look more spacious than it actually is- it’s just one open living/dining and kitchen area, and the 2 bedrooms on the top are linked with no door beta and on the middle floor are not linked at all, they are accessed by 2 different staircases- but it’s beautiful.
One of the bedrooms had a broken wall light that was just left on the floor all week and nobody came to fix it. We had an initial issue with WiFi but the landlord came out and even though we eventually figured out the problem ourselves, the landlord kindly gave us a ride into town as taxis can be a problem if you want to go out and have some wine with dinner- they couldn’t locate us- but we figured a way out in the end! We would definitely recommend it and stay again Lucca is gorgeous too. |
