This renovated and bright apartment is located a few steps from the Beautiful Cathedral of San Martino and just behind the corner from the Guinigi Tower. Recently refurbished this is a very comfortable base to discover Lucca and its beauty and its surrounding area.
The apartment lies on the second floor and also has ELEVATOR. This is an antique palace inside the walls of Lucca once the residence of one of the most important families for the trade of silk in Europe in 1400s… The location is superb, very central but in a very quiet block. The area is very beautiful as it is pedestrian area. Here there a couple of very good Pizzerias, grocery, bakery, pastry shop and café for breakfast in the morning.. everything is a few steps away as well as the weekly market and the access to the promenade on the top of the city's walls.
Elegant, Modern & Very Bright, CASA DANIELA offers a very comfortable stay, with all the modern comforts you may need and new, impeccable, beautiful furniture. All the details have been extremely cared.
The living room ceilings still have the original painted decoration from 1700s.
The apartment is very spacious and it measures 100 sq metres. It has a double bedroom, a single bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, 5 ring stoves, freezer, refrigerator, Italian and American coffee makers, toaster, kettle, a complete set of cooking utensils like at home, wine glasses etc..), a spacious living room with TV, a bathroom with a grand built in shower.
The apartment is also equipped with clothes washer and dryer, a very reliable wi-fi connection throughout the apartment.
If you have a late arrival, make sure to inform us ahead of time. You can experience the flexibility of a late check-in, available until midnight for a surcharge of 50 euros payable in cash upon arrival.
For those enchanted by the allure of Lucca after midnight, a check-in option is also offered with a surcharge of 100 euros.
The rental property is located within the ZTL area (Limited Traffic Area, accessible only by permanent residents and people with special permission) and does not offer on-site parking.
The closest Parking is Mazzini, located in a walking distance from the rental property, so leaving the car there prior reaching the apartment is essential. By following the road signs you will be able to avoid the ZTL area while driving to the parking.
We kindly inform all guests that the rental property is self catering so hotel-like services are excluded by law (reception, surveillance of the accommodation, provision of meals and drinks, daily cleaning and linen change, transfers). For such reason any additional service can be provided on request and with the collaboration of external qualified partners and charged accordingly.

Kitchen not very well equipped (lacking proper cookware and basic stuff like a bread knife, which we bought). Further, the mattress, pillows and linen were not very comfortable. Would also be handy with two keys.

For the directionally challenged, it is beside the medieval tower with the trees on top which was very helpful. There is a great view of the tower from the bedroom window. There is a cafe/restaurant in the same building just around the corner that is excellent. Lucca is such a lovely place and the apartment is a quick walk to the train station for day trips to Pisa, Viaggio (beach) Cinque Terre and more. There was a very detailed binder with information on everything you could think of in it. We were met promptly at the apartment door upon arrival. We had a great stay in Lucca with our 14 year old daughter.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sonia’s apartment. It was big and very well laid out and you can't beat the interiors! There is also a wonderful kitchen where we enjoyed dinner in the evenings. It faces onto the promenade where you can observe the see more

It faces onto the promenade where you can observe the daily activity. The location is perfect and right in the middle of everything. Sonia was extremely responsive and helpful with all questions we asked. She was even nice enough to provide an helpful housebook she wrote with great suggestions. If and when we return to Lucca, we will most certainly come back to this apartment!

We came to Lucca to visit our son who is studying in the IMT campus for this semester. We wanted a place to call home for our week stay and this flat met all and even more of our needs. Mrs Sonia was so helpful through e-mail and phone calls to make see more
We came to Lucca to visit our son who is studying in the IMT campus for this semester. We wanted a place to call home for our week stay and this flat met all and even more of our needs. Mrs Sonia was so helpful through e-mail and phone calls to make sure everything was in place. When we arrived in Lucca, Alice helped us find our way to the flat and got us settled in, thanks so much. It was very convenient that we were so close to the train and bus station we used this to connect to everywhere each day to go sightseeing and also to see some shows while we were in town. We really appreciated having the kitchen and living room - we spent a lot of time just catching up in the evenings. We even made a home cooked meal for our son on Sunday night so the kitchen was extremely helpful. After staying for week we know without a doubt this flat was the best choice for us. We were 2 adults and our son came and stayed a few nights so the extra bedroom was wonderful for us. We also found it very economical compared to hotels and so much more comfortable with the extra living space and many amenities like the washer and clothes dryer, the wi-fi, and the heating which worked perfectly. Thanks and we will look you up if we are in Lucca again.

It is within walking distance to everything in this beautiful medieval Italian city... great restaurants, concerts, shopping at the fabulous Antique Market and of course, daily walks and bsee more

It is within walking distance to everything in this beautiful medieval Italian city... great restaurants, concerts, shopping at the fabulous Antique Market and of course, daily walks and bike rides on "the Wall". The spacious apartment is exactly as portrayed...wood beams, impressive ceiling detail and beautifully decorated with all the charm of Tuscany. Bedding was comfortable and the kitchen well equipped for both meals and an amazing private cooking class with Nadia! Sonia was very friendly and welcoming. She explained the apartment's amenities and offered suggestions for restaurants and activities in & around Lucca. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone seeking a perfect Tuscan getaway! |
