The apartment is located in Las Ramblas avenue, the most famous and visited street in Barcelona. Las Ramblas is a lively street full of shops, artists and people just walking and relaxing there. Las Ramblas divides into two the Gothic area of Barcelona. In one side is the Cathedral area and in the other side is the Raval area. On the top part of Las Ramblas is the Plaza Catalunya and at the bottom part the Port and Columbus monument. The apartment is very good communicated by Barcelona public transportation. The metro station of Liceu (L3) is only at one minute from the apartment. The area where this apartment is located is quiet and crowded at the same time because you will be staying in the heart of Barcelona. However, it is a safe area. You are close to the port and many art galleries as well as craftwork shops, markets and supermarkets. Public transportation is present all around the apartment and you have a cab stop 5 minutes away in plaça Catalunya.

Places to visit around

The location of the apartment is ideal for visiting Barcelona's sites on foot. This is the ideal accommodation in Barcelona. It is near all the important sights in the old town. Only a few meters from the apartment you can find Plaza Catalunya, the Boqueria market, the Liceo Opera house, Palau de la Música, Plaza Real, Colombus monument, the Port, Barceloneta, Raval area, the Cathedral of Barcelona, the Gothic area and Plaza del Pi. Also near the apartment you can visit the Born area and Santa María del Mar church. In the Born area there are a lot of bar de tapas and Barcelona typical restaurants. Barcelona beaches are also very near the apartment, only 10-15 minutes walking distance! Ideal location for visiting and living in Barcelona. You can also visit opposite to the apartment the palau de la Virreina with non-permanent art shows as well as the CCCB and MACBA that are both dedicated to modern art and culture. Plenty of theaters are near the apartment as well as bars with live music! Near the port and going out at the Drassanes metro station you can also find the sailing Museum that can be a very interesting spot to visit in Barcelona. There is a vibrating nightlife in this area and you can enjoy all the offer available. There is as well a large range of restaurants and snack-bars to have a traditional meal or just a break before continuing the visit. The location of the apartment will allow you to walk everywhere even at night time.
