Location

This apartment is located in the Gothic area - Plaza Catalunya. The center and the best area of Barcelona, the heart of the city. Its narrow streets, its history, its antique buildings and palaces, its small and lovely shops, its centenary theatres and Operas, its typical "bares de tapas" and local restaurants,... The apartment is in a pedestrian area, without noises. Apartment very well communicated by Barcelona's public transport (there are 5 metro lines, several bus lines, aero bus direct to Barcelona Airport, Train station,..) just at one minute walking from the apartment. Barcelona beaches are only at 10-15 minutes walking distance or 10 minutes by metro from the apartment. Although the apartment is in a fourth floor without elevator, it is worth to rent it! The area is full of little invisible charms that you can discover like art centers, United Nations local branch library, old cafés and unique handcraft shops.

Places to visit around

All the Gothic area is a "must seen" area of Barcelona: Portal del Ángel, Las Ramblas, the Cathedral, the "Palau de la Música", the "Plaza Real", the Raval area, MACBA museum, the Born area, Santa María del Mar church, the old Sinagogue, the Picasso museum, the Port, Columbus monument, the Barceloneta and its beaches are places you can visit just walking from the apartment. Very near the apartment also there are the Plaza Catalunya, Paseo de Gràcia and its luxury shops and modernistic Gaudí buildings (la Casa Batlló and La Pedrera). The best of Barcelona is just next to your door! Don´t hesitate to take a walk at night and visit the thematic bras around. The area is full of handcraft shops, galleries, libraries, small theatres and palaces turned into restaurants or art-cafés. If you have time during your visit stop by the "Plaça de Sant Pere" located at the very beginning of the born-ribera area and relax in one of the terraces.
